The city is also a halt for over 100 trains, which connect to the most of the parts of UP, Bihar, MP, Punjab, Jammu, West Bengal, Southern states and many other states.
It is located 240 kilometers south of state capital, Jaipur. The national highway no. 12 and 76 also passes through the city. National Highway No. 76 is a part of East-West Corridor. There are express and deluxe buses to Kota at regular interval from most of the parts of Rajasthan. By the side of the eastern bank of the Chambal River, the town of Kota lies. The town of Kota is an stunning combination of grand middle age and modern industrialization. The town of Kota is well-known for its untouched assets of fantastic forts, elegant palaces and terrific temples which date back over several centuries & preserve the past magnificence.
